We tailor our cleaning to the building/surface being restored ensuring that we are doing what is best for the area being cleaned. We usually recommend using micro strip blasting for internal stone and brick work, and DOFF for any external work.
When necessary we will complete a test sample on the surface to identify the best method of restoration, this also enables us to be able to provide you with an estimate.
See below for more information on the two different methods.
How the DOFF Integra Works
Absolutely 0% surface damage, DOFF uses superheated steam to gently clean surfaces. The temperature in the system is high but provides low pressure on the surface being cleaned making it a very gentle method of removal. The volume of water is low preventing the surface from becoming saturated and will be dry within minutes . As this is purely steam it means that there are no harmful chemicals being used and any excess water will simply run into the ground to be absorbed back into the earth.
The superheated water vapor will remove paint, moss, algae, fungi and other biological matter and will also kill off spores. This means there’s then no need to use a chemical biocide during the removal process or as a protection against further biological activity.
We recommend the DOFF for use on outdoor surfaces such as brick, stone, concrete, tiled (glazed and encaustic), wood, faience and terracotta.
The DOFF can also be a useful sterilisation tool for kitchens, toilets, swimming pools, hospitals and factories.
We can restore stone and brick back to its natural state by gently blasting any grime, paint and other contaminants leaving a clean finish, with no surface damage from our specialised equipment.
Our tried and tested techniques can make any stonework look almost brand new and does not damage the stone or brick face.
